Hooray, Holiday

At first: I know it's absolutely off topic but I am so shocked about the death of Michael Jackson. I haven't been a fan these days, but when I was a child I really liked his music and his music was the first serious I listened to. He was a great artist, a genius and he will be a legend like Elvis Presley.
R.I.P. Michael

Ok let's talk about something better.
Tomorrow is holiday time! Yeah!I'll be away till July 4.
We stay in Germany this year and rented a House on the Müritzsee in northern Germany... near the Baltic Sea.It is the first time that we don't go to a foreign country since years. It makes me a little bit sad.... but anyway, it's better than staying at home! And it's also the first time we go to holiday with friends. Me, my husband and our 4 bandmates, hehe... I think it will be funny and we'll be doing lots of music sessions.

Last year me and my husband went to Israel. I absolutely love this country! It's my soul's home, I love it, love it, love it! And I miss this time so badly... but I'll come back, Israel, any day.

That's me in summer 2008 in a boat on Lake Genezareth.

Unfortunately we currently do not have good weather in Germany. I hope it will be better next week...

I hope you'll have a nice week without me, lol.

Yours,
Sisa

Neutral Eyes and Bright Lips

This is a look which is wearable for everyday, but the bright lips make it special though. You can use every bright lipstick you feel good with... I used Lavender Whip but it seems to fit not as nice to the eye make up than I thought. Unfortunately it's limited. Boo!

Mineralize Skinfinish is not only good for highlighting your cheekbones, you can also create nice glowing eye makeups with it. Unfortunately my eyeliner turned out to be a mess... argl! By the way, I know I got blotches on my cheeks, lol. Dunno why.

Used:

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation NC30
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Medium Plus

Brown Smokey Eyes with a bit of Pink

These days I like to play with bright colors on the lower lashline. That's one of my experiments!

What I used:

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation NC30
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Medium Plus
MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer NW25
Vichy Dermablend Camouflage for my discolorations around the mouth area

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base
L'Oréal Contour Khol black as a black base on lid
MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow (lid)
MAC Tempting Eyeshadow (crease)
Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette (color comes close to Honeylost - above crease)
MAC Sketch Eyeshadow (darken crease)
MAC Phloof! Eyeshadow(Highlight)
Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette - Hot Pink (lower lashline)
L'Oréal Contour Khol black (lashline and waterline)
Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara

p2 Eyebrow Mascara Dark Hazel
Eyebrowz Browpowder Soft Black
essence Browpowder medium brown

Coastal Scents Contouring Palette
MAC Blush Well Dressed ♥♥♥
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft and Gentle (cheek highlight)

MAC Prep+Prime Lips
Alverde Lipliner Terra
MAC Viva Glam VI SE Lipstick
Coastal Scents Smacks Lipgloss - Pep Pink

Tip: Red or Pink shades on the lower lashline sometimes make you look like you've cried for several hours, lol. You avoid that tired look if you create a border between the red/pink and your eye, with a black or dark brown khol liner on your waterline

Tiny MAC Haul + A Plummy Sunset Look

Hey guys!

Yesterday I went to a MAC Counter - the second time in my whole life! lol, yeah. I'm living in a MAC desert, the next counter is about 80 miles away :-( I ordered the most MAC things I own from online shops.
But yesterday the time has come, because my husband had a meeting in a city where is a MAC counter, YAY! And I got my first Back2MAC Lipstick and some other things I'll introduce to you.

Today I created a look with some of my new things, that reminds me on a sunset... a plummy sunset, lol

What I used:

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation NC30
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Medium Plus
MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer NW25
Vichy Dermablend Camouflage for my discolorations around the mouth area

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base
Coastal Scents S36 Hot Pot Eyeshadow (2/3 lid) -> a very good and way cheaper dupe of MAC Amberlights! I love those Hot Pots
Coastal Scents 88 Shimer Palette (any of the red eyeshadows, Cranberry may be a good dupe.. outer 2/3 of the lid, partly meeting with the Amberlights)
L'Oréal Cosmic Plum or MAC Nocturnelle Eyeshadow (crease)
MAC Antiqued Eyeshadow (darken crease)
MAC Sketch Eyeshadow (darken crease and outer V + lower lashlines)
MAC Naked Pigment (Highlight)
Coastal Scents Gel Liner True black
L'Oréal Contour Khol black
Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara

p2 Eyebrow Mascara Dark Hazel
Eyebrowz Browpowder Soft Black
essence Browpowder medium brown

Coastal Scents Contouring Palette
MAC Blush Well Dressed (LOVE it!!!)
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft and Gentle (cheek highlight)

MAC Prep+Prime Lips
Alverde Lipliner Terra
MAC Shy Girl Cremesheen Lipstick
MAC Love Nectar Lustreglass

My little Haul:

Sketch Eyeshadow is really cute. It is a dark brownish burgundy plum color and since I frequently use plums, purples and lilacs beside of greens or neutrals, I needed to get a matching crease color... and there it is! And it blends like butter, yay.

Shy Girl is my first Back2MAC Lipstick. In Germany we can only get lipsticks for Back2MAC, no lipglasses, eyeshadows or else :-( Anyway, I love that color. It's a peachy beige with no pink in it. A gorgeous summer color!

Love Nectar is my very first MAC Lipglass. Yes, it is! I'm not so into glosses, I have some from L'Oréal and Coastal scents, which I like but do not use frequently. But this one interestet me because I got sooo much recommendations! And finally I got it. It was the last one whch was left on the counter. Pretty demanded! I think it will fit to any nude lipstick, pink or peachy ones equal.

Well Dressed: I had no plans getting a new blush, but when I saw it on the counter, I fell in love instantly, lol. It's a very light rosé color which shows up very sheer, discreet and natural on my cheeks. It is the perfect everaday blush but the color is buildable as well, but on my complexion it can never be too much or too dark. I highly recommend it for NC25 to NC40 complexions!

Well guys, hope you had a nice start into the week?
I'm planning my bags now... for holiday from June 27 to July 4... :-)

Some masquerade for fun

Those were some looks I did just for fun or for carnival.

The first look is my Dark Cleopatra creation *lol*

This look I wore on carnival 2009. I tried to be an Oriental Princess ;-)

My MAC Lipstick Collection

NOTE: All swatches on medium pigmented lips.

Honeylove is a pale peachy-beige shade. Since it is a matte lipstick, don't forget to moisten your lips before putting it on. I like it worn alone when ewaring dark smokey eyes, or with any peachy lipgloss above.

Marquise D' was part of the Brunette, Blonde, Redhead LE (spring 2009). It is a perfect mlbb shade.

Viva Glam II is a pinky-beige nude. It is a Satin lipstick and drys your lips a little bit out when you forget to moisturizing before.

Viva Glam VI SE is an absolutely gorgeous pink shade. It just melts on my lips and looks so delicate, lol. I highly recommend this shade.

Lavender Whip is the very first bright lipstick I am NOT afraid to wear. It is so gorgeous OMG how could I be so stupid and pass this when it came out with the Cremesheen LE. But it didn't let me go and I finally got it from Ebay last week... grab it if you find one! This is stunning.

What a Do! was also part of the Brunette, Blonde, Redhead Collection. I don't like it too much because it's too frosty and kinda metallic (I bought it blindly) so I try to sell or swap it.

Brave is such a cute brownish pink which is very similar to my natural lip color. A nice lipstick for everyday.

Cosmo is a mid-tone brownish shade with pink reflects. I really like how it feels on my lips, it's Amplified Creme. I like to wear it with a bronzy eye makeup.

Twig dissapointed me at first, because it was way darker than I expected. But I like it more and more, especially by wearing a not too bold eye make up. We mustn't have pale lips everytime, lol.

Dubonnet, yay, it is a sexy sexy dark burgundy red, but I must confess, I didn't wear it in public ever. I am afraid to wear bold red lipsticks. Dunno why... maybe because my eye makeup is bold enough mostly.

Style Warrior

I think this is a very cute LE since I love animal prints. The lipsticks didn't bother me so much, but 3 of the eyeshadows, because I didn't have any similar shades yet.

Bright Future (Veluxe Pearl): I never thought I'd wear yellow, but the cute Janny from
http://babyjanny.blogspot.com/ inspired me and it looks very pretty. It shows up more like a light, yellowish gold on my complexion. You can also build up the intensity from sheer to opaque.

Tempting (Lustre): I really, really love this colour. This is a nice, bronzy coco shade that goes with every kind of brown or olive greens. You can create really beautiful neutral looks with it.

Night Manoeuvres (Satin): I didn't have any cool medium to dark brown shade in my collection, so I definately had to get this. On the pic it seems to have some glitter in it, but in fact there is no glitter showing up on the lid, it's more matte and really nice to darken the crease or create some dark brown smokey eyes as well.

On A Mission Blush (Beauty Powder Blush): This one seems to be very cool in the pan but shows up warm on my cheeks, like a plum with peachy reflects. It is very discreet but leaves a little bit of pearly shimmer. I heard it's very similar to Breath of Plum Blush.

I skipped the other items because they weren't so interesting and I need to save money... for the Colour Craft LE, lol.

Spring Green

For this look I basically worked with MAC Pigments.

I adore greens because they look so nice to dark brown eyes (that rhymes, lol)

What I used:

L'Oréal Mattifying Minerals Loose Powder (for any fallout)
Artdeco Eyeshadow Base
MAC Juxt Eyeshadow (2/3 of the lid)
MAC Golden Olive Pigment (outer 1/3 of the lid)
MAC Gilded Green Pigment (darken crease... SO gorgeous!)
MAC Antique Green Pigment (darken crease and lowe lashline... one of my favorite greens ever!)
Any Carbon Eyeshadow for the outer V
MAC Naked Pigment (Highlight)

essence Liquid Liner black
L'Oréal Contour Khol black

Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara

eyebrowz Browpowder Soft Black
p2 Eyebrow Mascara Dark Hazel

and also some Tape to define the outer lines

An olive purple look

This was one of the first looks I did when experimenting with colors.

Sorry I often don't have pics of my whole face, because I didn't figure it out yet how to do good pics of myself. The wrong perspective evertyime, lol, showing up a kind of double chin or my nose appears very big :-(

What I used:

L'Oréal Mattifying Minerals Loose Powder (for any fallout)
MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot
MAC Sumptuous Olive Eyeshadow (whole lid)
MAC Golden Olive Pigmet (inner corner)
MAC Satellite Dreams Eyeshadow (crease and lower lashline)
L'Oréal Cosmic Plum Eyeshadow (darken crease, I think MAC Nocturnelle is a good dupe)
MAC Signed, Sealed Eyeshadow (outer V... it's a pity that it's d/c!!!)
MAC Phloof! Eyeshadow (Highlight)
essence Liquid Liner black
L'Oréal Contour Khol black

Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara

eyebrowz Brow Powder Jet Black
p2 Brow Mascara Dark Hazel

...and some Tape to create the defined line on the outer corners!

Welcome!

Hey girls!

Since I got so many requests to do a blog, at least from my living Make Up Holy Grail
http://xinarox.blogspot.com/ , I decided to do!

My real name is Cindy, but I really hate this name lol and everyone is calling me Sisa.
I was born and raised in Germany (still living there) but I have lots of unpursuable roots from southeast Europe over gypsy and Orient to India... quite strange combination, the result is ME, lol.

Some of you may ask, why I do this blog in English and not in German. The answer is: My complexion is not very popular in Germany and I want Arabian, Asian and Desi girls to have fun and inspiration with my blog, too. BUT feel free to leave your comments in German or English.

Hope, you'll enjoy it!
